Should I get the Shingles vaccine?
The CDC recommends that all adults over the age of 60, and immunocompromised individuals 50 or older, should be vaccinated against Shingles with the newest Shingles vaccine on the market, Shingrix. The previous Shingles vaccine, Zostavax, has been found to only prevent 35%-65% of Shingles cases compared to Shingrix which prevents 85%-90% of Shingles cases.
